THE FOUNDATON'S C

In South Africa today, the desperate need for ICT skills and the dire lack of resources to provide them to the poor co-exist in an incredibly backward and inhibiting environment. The Coding Youth Foundation strives to better those conditions.

We are a non-profit company with a single objective of exposing as many poor and previously-disadvantaged youth to coding. We believe that the future and hope of South Africa playing a meaningful role in the Fourth Industrial Revolution (4IR) lies in the ICT skills available for school learners.

The Coding Youth Foundation introduces basic computer literacy and coding skills to the previously disenfranchised youth of the Free State in South Africa. Since January 2022, we have reached and developed 88 high school learners with either Microsoft 365 or HTML & CSS coding skills. 

The persistent and visionary leadership of our founders and executive committee including the passion and drive of our learners has grown The Coding Youth Foundation to unexpected heights since its inception.

WEB DEVELOPMENT

Learners use the HTML coding language to create web pages from scratch.

COMPUTER LITERACY

Our learners are introduced to Microsoft 365 as an effort to improve their general computer skills.

MENTORSHIP

We believe that industry experts are critical in motivating our learners to pursue careers in IT.

WEB DESIGN

CSS is the cornerstone of the World Wide Web and is used for designing eye-catching websites.

LEADERSHIP

Leadership and peer-to-peer engagements ensure that our learners are socially relevant at all times.

CODING EXPOs

Educational excursions expose our learners to multiple facets of coding and technology in general.

    OPERATING HOURS

    We operate from Monday to Saturday. We are closed on Sundays and on public holidays.
